4850 Building
Historically Naples’ most prestigious and sought after office buildings have been located on US41, the “North Trail”. However due to high land values and a general lack of vacant land those few buildings which have gone up since the end of the recession have been located along other more secondary roads. That has changed with the 4850 Building.
The 4850 Building, also known as the Lutgert Professional Center, marks the first Class A office building delivered on US41 in Naples since Mercato opened for business at the beginning of the recession in 2009. As a result of this hiatus the developers, the Naples-based Lutgert Companies, were able to take advantage of the changing tastes and priorities of the modern market. This includes a contemporary style that makes excellent use of materials such as raw concrete and bamboo paneling accents, as well as a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
One small example of this are the attractive blue horizontal sunshades which decorate the exterior of the building. Though small, they drastically reduce direct sunlight that comes through the windows during much of the day, reducing HVAC usage. Venetian Village
Despite its miles of beautiful beaches and intercoastal waterways, Naples has surprisingly few office buildings or commercial centers of any sort on or near the water, with most of its waterfront taken up by residences.
