NEW OFFICE CONCEPT COMING TO NAPLES
When local business man David Diamond, one of the principals of Naples based general contractor DeAngelis Diamond Construction, came to me to pitch the idea of his “Venture X” I knew he was on to something big. No, Venture X doesn’t have anything to do with other business with multiple X’s in them. Venture X is the 21st century twist on the traditional executive suite business. Instead of a traditional (and uninspiring) executive suite with a maze of small offices, Venture X is open, fresh, and contemporay. There are few walls and fewer private offices. Instead of being an isolated office occupant, at Venture X their members are encouraged to collaborate in a open desk format. Think: combination Starbuck, LA Fitness, and university library and you’ve got the picture.
The collaborative nature of shared work space has as it’s roots the experimental lofts in some of the big cities where unassociated inventors, gadget gurus, and engineer types would gather in an adult playground of high and low tech tools and equipment. Venture X plans to also feature seminars and presentations, as well as a coffee bar, and a great outside patio to just relax and read through today’s Wall Street Journal or Rolling Stone.
Venture X will be the first of this new breed in all of Southwest Florida and is now under construction of its 7,500 square foot facility at the Mercato in Naples. The new facility is set to open Fall of 2012 and is now accepting members.
