Dougall McCorkle represents buyers for this High Tech Industrial Campus
Dougall McCorkle of Naples based Premier Commercial represented an investment group on the recent $2.5 million acquisition of a 30,000 square foot office/industrial campus in Naples, FL at 3750 Enterprise Road. The building, formally known as the E.B. Simmonds building is one of the most unique buildings in the Naples area for its unexpected level of quality and sophistication in an industrial area not normally home to such properties.
The building was originally constructed in 2007 by DeAngelis Diamond, at the height of the last real estate boom, to the exacting standards of its original owner. The property consists of a three story 15,000 square foot office component at the front and a 15,000 square foot warehouse facility in the rear. According to McCorkle, a leader in the commercial real estate field, “the 3750 Enterprise Building has the same level of quality you normally find in some of the best office buildings in Naples, but what really makes it unique that it was done in such a contemporary and high-tech fashion.”
Some of the unique features include a three story ‘stacked stone’ atrium, a glass and stainless steel elevator, LED lights throughout, as well as its contemporary architecture. Even the warehouse building is unique to the market, with a solid concrete structure, fire sprinklers, and even set up for a future roof top helipad. The complex also features a back-up power generator that provides uninterrupted service to the entire space.
McCorkle adds that “the building is really well positioned to meet the needs of its future tenants who are increasingly interested in a more free flowing office environment rather than the old style maze of interior offices”. There has been a nationwide trend, especially with larger companies, to provide their staff with an open format which tends to encourage more collaboration between staff members.
